SCHOOL HOLIDAY

During the last school holidays, my family and I went for a trip to Kuala Lumpur. It spent  2 days 1 night. We left at 7 o’clock after packing up our belongings. While going to our destination, I took out my favorite book which I bring along the way to read. After 4 hours, we reached our destination, Kuala Lumpur safely. Even though the weather was extremely hot and humid, my beloved family and I felt cozy as the car was fully air-conditioned. Then, we checked in at the hotel and put our beg in the room. The room was big and beautiful.

Later, we visited National Zoo. There were many people in the zoo. When we were entering the zoo, we saw a few lions and tigers were in big cages. Next, we saw monkeys and birds. The monkeys were swinging from tree to tree happily and the birds were flying freely. I did not miss the opportunity to take some snapshots as remembrance. After that, we went to a seafood restaurant near the zoo to have lunch. Then, we went to Petronas Twin Tower. The tower was magnificent. In fact, the scenery was breathtaking and amazing. We enjoyed the scenery very much. Later, we went back to the hotel tiredly. 

On the next day, the weather was fine. After having breakfast, my family and I went to KLCC. We bought a lot of souvenirs. Then, we went to Cineplex to watch a comedy movie. My sister and I were deliriously happy as it was our first experience to watch movie at the Cineplex. Then, we went to the aquarium. There were many types of fish and aquatic animals, like butterfly fish, balloon fish, acaleph, mussel, starfish and more. At 5 o’clock, we went to the hotel to take a rest and checked out from the hotel. Then, we went back to home reluctantly.

It was a memorable holidays for my entire family. I hope we could go there in the immediate future.

SHOPPING

People love shopping. Everyone likes to go the shopping mall. If shopping center is in your neighborhood, it is even better. Some people do not like to have large shopping center in their neighborhood, others would like it. In my opinion, I would support the plan that the shopping center should be built in my neighborhood for the following reasons.

First of all, shopping center creates many jobs in my area. Nowadays, many people are jobless because of the recession. When county starts building this project, they need engineers, electricians, contractors, plumbers, and many other workers. I believe that many  people have no jobs in my neighborhood. Because of the building of this shopping center, people get jobs and earn money for their families. For instance, last year, my brother applied for a job in Damansara Utama where a new shopping center was building. When I went to Damansara Utama where my brother had a job offer, I saw many people from different cities were there. Because of that new mall, 2000 people got jobs. As you can see, this new shopping mall project created so many jobs and people moved from different places to there because they were struggling to get jobs. That is why I will warm welcome of building a new shopping center in the vicinity of my area.

Moreover, shopping center in my area saves time. We do not have any shopping mall nearby our neighborhood. We usually travel 45 minutes for shopping. It wastes our time for waited the bus. For example, my friend is getting his birthday in two months. I need to buy a gift for him and clothes for me. On last weekend, I went to the shopping mall that is on 45 minute from my home. I wasted the whole day with waited the bus. This experience taught me that if I could have shopping mall nearby my house, I could have saved my valuable time.

World Cup 2014 in Brazil

In 2014 Brazil will host one of the most important competitions for the sports. It is the FIFA world cup. It will be the 20th official FIFA world cup and it will happen between June 12 and July 13 of 2014. The winter will not stop everybody to have a good time.

Brazil will be host the competition for the second time. The first time was in 1950 right after the World War 2. The two world cup before this one got canceled because of the war. In 1950 the final was Brazil vs. Uruguay. Uruguay beat brazil 2 to 1 and received the title.

Seventeen cities showed interest in being chosen as world cup host cities, but usually FIFA only approves 8 to 10 cities so they ended up choosing 12 cities in 12 different states. The final game will happen in Rio de Janeiro at Macarana stadium. And the opening ceremony was supposed to happen at Sao Paulo’s futbol club stadium but technical problems won’t allow it so a brand new stadium will be build just for the world cup.

One of the most popular cities Rio de Janeiro is the second largest cities of Brazil, containing 6.3 million people and it is very famous for the samba, carnaval and the Christ of Redeemer. Maracana is their principal and biggest stadium. It was built for the world cup in 1050. It was renovated 2006 and fits 82 000 people but in the days it used to fit almost 200 000 people.

I think the event will bring improvements in general for the country such as political and security also will make the economy.

FRIENDSHIP

Friends is a normally are important person in our life. Without friends our life not complete. You also must clever to choose friends who can bring you to positive thinks, so that you are not wrong to choose friend. A good friend needs to be a person whom you can trust. He needs to be someone you can tell secrets to and trust that they will keep them under any circumstances. They need to be loyal, someone who will always stick by your side in times of need and won’t sell you out for anything, someone who will be there for the good times but also the bad times. They will make good times better and bad times easier to bear. Friendship is both good and necessary. Man cannot live all alone. He is a social being. He needs someone to share his joys and sorrows. Friends are needed for support and for sharing. Friendship is an elixir which is essential for a happy life. We need to select our friends very carefully. Many remain with us in the guise of good friends and lead us to the wrong path. Today, many youngsters have become social nuisance mainly due to wrong company and bad friends. We have to distinguish between fair-weather friends and true friends. True friends remain with us through thick and thin while fair-weather friends are found only during sunny days. Lasting friendship is indeed, a blessing. Good friends are great pillars of life. They help us to stand tall and erect in life. Friendship can make or break us. It can lead to good careers and proper living. It does not matter how often you meet your friends, but how much you care and feel for another in good times as well as in bad times. True friendship is a great asset in life.

FACEBOOK

Facebook is an online social networking service. Its name comes from a colloquialism for the directory given to students at some American universities. Facebook was founded in February 2004 by Mark Zuckerberg with his college roommates and fellow Harvard University students. The founders had initially limited the website's membership to Harvard students, but later expanded it to colleges in the Boston area, the Ivy League, and Stanford University. It gradually added support for students at various other universities before it opened to high-school students, and eventually to anyone aged 13 and over. Facebook now allows anyone who claims to be at least 13 years old to become a registered user of the website.

In the 350 million users on Facebook, 67% of them are between the ages of 13 -25. More than 35 million users update their status every day. 2.5 billion Photos are added each month. The highest age groups who use Facebook are teenagers.  Facebook is just changing the new generation of youngsters completely because the teenage life is one of the most important stages of life and wasting it on Facebook is not encouraging this in anyway.

Facebook is getting millions of dollars, in fact $300 million in 2008. Creator, Mark Zuckerberg is one young genius to change human lives drastically by changing their social environment. People can also access Facebook through their mobiles and more than 65 million active users access Facebook through their mobiles.

          Furthermore, people who use Facebook through their mobile phones are 50% more active on Facebook than non-mobile phone users. This shows that people who use Facebook on their phones as well as using it on their computer, just can’t stand being away from the website. 

         In my opinion, my view about the social network being a big time waster is a true fact according to me. Teenagers especially, should spend less time on Facebook and get some sunlight. Adults, who spend their days on Facebook, must be unemployed because they should have so much work to do or they could make this world a much better place by doing something productive! My opinion is not banning Facebook completely because I also agree you should log in sometimes and I recommend should go on for about 45 minutes a day, if you do have Facebook. So, this is my impression of Facebook. I’m sure some part of you agrees with me.
